Information You Choose to Submit
Search terms
A name, location, or other value entered into a search box is transmitted to the third-party provider that operates the search. Mason County Released Inmates does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider may process the query under its separate privacy terms.
Messages sent to us
If you send an email or use a contact form, we retain the message and the contact details supplied so we can respond. Contact messages are not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Technical Data Collected Automatically
Routine server, analytics, and advertising technology may record technical details when a page loads. This information helps operate and understand the site and can include:
- The visitor’s Internet Protocol address
- Browser name and software version
- Device category and operating system
- Pages viewed and time spent on them
- The referring website, when one is supplied
- Date and time stamps for requests
Cookies and similar storage
Cookies may be used to measure how visitors move through the site and to support site, analytics, or advertising functions. Browser settings can reject or remove cookies. Blocking them may cause some features to work differently or not retain preferences.
How Information Supports the Site
Collected information is used only for ordinary operational and service purposes, including:
- Keeping pages available, responsive, and reliable
- Sending search requests to the correct search partner
- Learning which Mason County record pages visitors find useful
- Detecting, diagnosing, and correcting technical problems
- Displaying advertising that may be selected by visitor interests
Privacy Beyond Our Pages
Mason County Released Inmates links to jail and release records, Mason County Detention Center resources, Kentucky Department of Corrections pages, government portals, and third-party search tools. Once a visitor follows an outside link or submits a query to an outside tool, that destination’s privacy policy and data practices apply. We do not control them.
Some advertising partners may use their own technology to measure activity across websites and select interest-based ads. Any cross-site tracking occurs through those partners’ systems and policies, not through a separate profile maintained by Mason County Released Inmates.
Parties That May Receive Data
We do not sell personal information. Limited data may be handled by parties that support a requested function, operate the site, or have lawful authority to obtain it:
- Search partners that receive and process submitted queries
- Analytics providers that measure site performance and use
- Advertising networks that deliver or measure advertisements
- Law enforcement or government bodies acting under a valid legal order
Security Has Practical Limits
Reasonable, commonly used safeguards are applied to information within our control. No website, network, transmission method, or Internet-connected storage system is completely secure. We therefore cannot promise that information will never be intercepted, lost, altered, or accessed without authorization.
Visitors Younger Than Eighteen
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly request or collect personal information from anyone under eighteen years old. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted personal data may contact us and request deletion of information within our control.
Your Available Privacy Choices
Subject to applicable law and our ability to verify a request, a visitor may ask us to:
- Provide a copy of personal information we hold about that visitor
- Correct personal information that is inaccurate
- Erase personal information within our control
- Stop or opt out of certain forms of processing where that choice applies
These choices concern information controlled by Mason County Released Inmates. Requests about an outside search provider, analytics service, advertising network, or government portal must be directed to that organization.
